Just to humor me, please pretend that it is Feb. 14th at 5:42 pm which would still be Valentine's Day. I have been so sick and I couldn't finish this post. My nose and I thank you!
I woke up this morning to a gift bag full of chocolates. That is the ultimate in gifts, in my opinion! Rentman knows how much I LOVE CHOCOLATE and knew he couldn't go wrong with his choices. However, one thing he got me makes me wonder if it's all for me, his Valentine.
He got me a box of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures--how very thoughtful indeed! Especially since they are one of his favorite candies. Do you think there's a hidden meaning in this or am I just being overly suspicious??? He did say that since there were so many in the box that he was sure I wouldn't be able to eat all of them. Go figure! Me, not being able to eat all the chocolate? Whatever...
Now I must ask you--WHAT is wrong with this picture??? Some of the 'goodies' on display here were not invited to the celebration! I thought I made it clear~By invitation only.
I decided to go on to the doctor Saturday because I knew that without an antibiotic, this crud wasn't going anywhere! My suspicions were correct--nasty sinus infection/upper respiratory infection--and let me tell you, if it had not been for the chocolate, I'm not sure whether I would have survived all the stuffiness, can't breathe, coughing, nasal drip, nose blowing, etc! Know what I mean??
I had to lay down and take a nap just so I could escape some of the torture from the infection. Days like this are few and far in between and I'm glad of that! When I went to the clinic yesterday, he gave me a shot and 3 prescriptions so hopefully I will be on the mend in a few days. I have so much to do and really need to get well. I've got to go give Mom a shower, shampoo her hair, fix her medicine, find out why her online pharmacy didn't send one of her medicines--I'm just glad that I am able to do these things for her. It is a big help to my Dad, too. He has learned to do things he never thought he would have to do as her health declines. But he's been a champ and has just kept on learning more things to do. But he leaves the bathing/hair care up to me. I don't think with his bad knees that he could manage her in the shower.
Well, this little Valentine is headed to bed. Hopefully, when I arise in the morning, I will feel at least 50% better. Of course, 75% would be fantastic but I'll be happy with 50. I hope all of you had a wonderful day today and may this coming week bring you many joys and few sorrows!
Is anything happening this week that you are dreading? I have another test in the Master Gardener Program and am not looking forward to it. But I've never cared for tests. All the studying and memorizing just jumbles up my pretty little brain! I'd much rather just try to look cute! LOL Just kidding! Share whatever you wish with me for your upcoming week!
