It's the little things...

Mott and John in Panama City for Carol Warrington's 59th birthday celebration
I've been reading different blogs today and the theme is naturally the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day. What better time to share with you some of the things I love to do for my main squeeze, Rentman, than today.

You can use a dry-erase marker to write 'love notes' on a mirror for your sweetheart. I do it often! It's a sweet little surprise for him when he goes in to his bathroom to find I've been there {usually cleaning :) } and was thinking of him (and you don't have to wait for a special day--you can make any day special by doing this). Just wipe it off with a piece of tissue paper!

I send him text messages and let him know I'm thinking of him and love him. He is a very hard-working man and I have the privilege of being able to stay home and keep our house, help out with the rental business and do things that I enjoy. And if you'll notice on the sign we're standing behind, Diamond Head State Monument, that's in Oahu, Hawaii. We've been on some pretty incredible vacations since we've been together! Places I'd never dreamed of going to!

I am also able to help out with my parents as they age. Mom has Alzheimer's and Dad has his hands full trying to take care of both of them. They live a couple of hours away from me and I go over and help Mom with bathing, shampooing her hair, fixing her medicine and whatever else needs to be done. It is a joy to be able to do for them after all they've done for me through the years! You can read more about Mom here.

I leave little Post-It notes on paperwork I do for him. We have 60 rental houses and it keeps him busy all the time and me part of the time. :)

I have found that the more I do for him in big or little ways, the more it comes back to me. Love is something that the more you give, the more you receive! Isn't it funny how it works that way! I've learned a lot of things in life are like that!

What do you do to let your Valentine know how special they are to you?
