We are having some very cold weather for the South! I mean, it has been in the 20s and is expected to get in the teens later this week. I took a picture of my fountain on the courtyard yesterday afternoon. I unplugged it a couple of days ago since it was frozen solid! Duh?!?

That's probably more than enough pictures of the frozen fountain...guess I got a little carried away. We don't have a lot of freezing cold weather here. We had a chance for snow but it didn't happen. The weatherman said something about the clouds not coming in like they were supposed to. I sure was disappointed! It has been a long time since we've had snow that covered everything with its white blanket.
I'm remembering a picture of my oldest son (now 33) sitting in the snow in the front yard. He was sick and I bundled him up and ran sat him in the snow so I could take his picture. That should give you a clue as to how often we don't get snow here! I'm going to look for that picture and post it later. Probably much later the way things are going right now!

While I was taking pictures, Molly could no longer stand me being outside and her inside...so here she came running! It's a little blurry (oh yeah, I cropped it) and I'm still learning how to use my NEW 50mm f/1.4G lens. I am loving it, too!

Something about the tree without its leaves captured my attention. I thought it was "noteworthy" as Darby would say! I think of her every time I hear that word now. She wrote the aforementioned blog about her father using it. Isn't it funny how words and/or songs can make us think of others?

I like the color of the sky in this one. It has a slight pink color to it on the left side.
Well, I've rambled all over the place so I guess it would be a good time to say "See ya later, Alligator"! Y'all stay warm! I'm gonna try to!
